Onion Barley Soup

| Ingredients: |
4 medium onions, sliced
1/2 c. water
6 c. defatted beef broth
1 c. cooked barley
2 Tbsp. soy sauce, low sodium
|
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. thyme leaves
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
|

| Cooking Instructions: |
1. In large saucepan, saute onions in water about 5
minutes
2. Add beef broth and barley; bring to a boil.
3. Add seasonings; reduce heat.
4. Simmer, covered, about 30 minutes before serving.

Cooking time: 35 minutes
